Madre de Dios

The Madre de Dios department is a tourist destination in the southeastern region of Peru, known for its impressive biodiversity, protected natural areas and indigenous culture. One of the main attractions of Mother of God is the Manu National Park, which is one of the largest and most biodiverse natural parks in the world. Visitors can enjoy the observation of wild animals such as monkeys, jaguars, tapirs and more than 1000 species of birds. Forest walks, indigenous communities visits and river boat trips are also available. Another of the tourist attractions of Mother of God is the Tambopata National Reserve, which also has a rich biodiversity and hosts numerous species of flora and fauna.
